Australian-based 3D modelling software provider LARKI has received an investment of $1.4 million from Australian venture capital firm Nightingale Partners to continue its expansion into the US and Asian markets.
LARKI has attracted a lot of attention from global investors and are considered leaders in a niche market within the property tech world. Revenue has doubled within the last 12 months and a new office is soon to open in Brisbane. LARKI’s clients include JLL, the Victorian government, Deakin University, MAB, and Architecture Institute Gold Medal winner John Wardle Architects.
This backing from Nightingale Partners has come at just the right time, allowing us to drive forward plans to make LARKI synonymous with high-resolution 3D city models online, here in Australia but soon all over the world
, LARKI’s co-founder and CEO Simon Cookes said.
With keen interest from global clients, the capital will be used to expand LARKI’s products and services onto other continents, including the US and Asia, as well as funding research and development in areas such as artificial intelligence for virtual reality design. The company also plans to open a new office in Los Angeles, California later this year.
A spokesperson for Nightingale Partners said they are excited by Larki’s innovative technology which will provide many opportunities for them including cross-border tech investment relationships and exits on a global scale.
With offices in Melbourne and Sydney, LARKI is a four-year-old company co-founded by Cookes, an architect, researcher, and teacher, and ex-CSIRO software engineer Daniel Moore. It’s a laser-scanned, high-resolution version of 3D Google Earth Pro for architects.
